Yosemite National Park - The Explorographer

Driving in to Yosemite with fires raging to the south and north, I wasn't really sure what to expect. The smoke hung low and was acrid to my sinuses and eyes. This was early on in the trip, as you will see from upcoming photos it did clear up nicely. The destruction of nature by man and nature itself is always a horrible thing to witness. The aftermath can be stunningly stark and the rebirth uplifting. I feel very fortunate to have arrived in the interem to capture it's transformation. Though a lot is under control, fires still rage and the land and people are still at danger, please be mindful and careful while in these areas. I saw an awful lot of careless smokers in Yosemite while there...it is quite angering. This shot will be avaiible in large format print soon.
